Software Acumen Ltd COVID 19 Policy - v1 16.03.22
This COVID 19 policy (Policy) forms part of our Terms and Conditions and our contract with you.
To ensure we keep everyone safe and provide the very best experience, we will work to implement a number of important measures to reassure and protect everyone at our Events. At a minimum we'll work in accordance with advice and guidance from the UK and local governments, and we will continually review this up to, and at the event.
At time of writing these measures are likely to include the below measures, although this list may change from time to time and you should review this policy and our measures before attending the Event and let us know if you have any concerns or are unable to comply with the Event requirements.
COVID-19 Vaccination Required: To attend our Events, participants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. “Fully Vaccinated” is defined as having received a full course of a vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start of the event. Accepted COVID-19 Vaccination: The vaccines currently accepted for Event access are Janssen/J&J, AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, and Moderna. Other vaccines are currently not accepted. We will update this list should the UK government add additional vaccines to the list of accepted/approved vaccines.
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination: All participants will be required to provide valid proof of vaccination before the Event. We will communicate the details over email well before the Event and we might partner with a 3rd party to verify your vaccination status prior to the Event. Failure to provide verifiable proof of a COVID-19 vaccination in compliance with these Terms will result in refusal of event access without refund.
Face Masks Recommended: Please bring your own face mask (surgical masks, N95 masks, KN95 masks are acceptable. However, exhale valves or bandannas are not acceptable) and be prepared to be required to wear a mask fully covering your nose and mouth whilst indoors at the Event, unless you are drinking or eating in designated areas. Participants failing to comply with the face mask guidelines that are in place at the event will be asked to leave the Event without a refund.
Additional COVID-19 Safety: In addition to the COVID-19 related safety requirements stated in the Terms we will follow government, venue and event safety guidelines that might be in place at the time of the Event. These guidelines will be communicated to participants via email before the Event. Any attendee not complying with the health and safety requirements in place at the time of the Event, will be asked to leave the Event without a refund.
Communicable Diseases. Please use good judgement regarding your overall health when attending our in-person Events. Out of respect to other conference attendees, please do not attend if you have any diseases that can be communicated by close contact. Should a health concern be reported to our staff, we allow the right to further investigate the claim and at the discretion of the conference organisers, said participant may be asked to leave the conference without a refund. At no point shall Software Acumen be held liable for any illness (real or perceived) to have been contracted from or by attending one of our Events or co-located Events. Attendees agree to participate at the Events at their own risk. Furthermore, Software Acumen. and its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, and their respective officers, directors and personnel will be indemnified and held harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or losses arising from any such claims by participants of any of our Events or co-located Events.
