Cat Swetel

As Senior Director of Engineering at Nubank, Cat is responsible for much of the company's technical backbone. She is the general manager for the Foundation business unit, a critical team that owns from the CICD pipeline forward: cloud and backbone infrastructure, transactional runtime environments, observability and resilience, storage and databases, and incident response.

An internationally known keynote speaker and a passionate advocate for social change, Cat is frequently invited to share her insights on how technology can create more generative and equitable institutions. With a master's degree in Science and Technology Policy, she brings a unique, interdisciplinary perspective to the intersection of technology, business, and societal well-being.

In her spare time, Cat enjoys cooking, hiking, and helping her family make a huge deal out of even the most minor occasions.
