About the session

Plans often fail for a simple reason: they treat uncertainty as a detail, not the main constraint. This workshop helps you shift your mindset from fixed timelines to probability.

You will practise replacing “What will happen?” with “What is likely to happen?” and learn how that change supports adaptive planning.

We will explore how to think in ranges and confidence, how to update decisions when new information appears, and how to communicate uncertainty without losing clarity.

Expect interaction, real-world examples and a reset of how you think about planning under uncertainty.

Participant takeaways:

  • a clear mental model for thinking in probabilities rather than certainties
  • a practical understanding of likelihood, ranges, and confidence
  • a new perspective on planning as an adaptive decision process
  • 3 simple rules for applying probabilistic thinking in everyday work decisions

This session:

  • is designed for complete beginners, no prior knowledge required
  • includes interaction
  • has a number cap: 24 participants
