About the session
Themes: Product | Planning
Note: this session will run through the afternoon break
Perfectionism is a quiet disruptor. It blocks decision-making, delays implementation and undermines the trust that teams need to make rapid progress in uncertain times.
In this practical workshop, participants will find a way forward through a playful approach.
Everyone chooses a challenge card that identifies their specific obstacle (examples: indecision, fear of making mistakes, over-reliance on one’s own strengths, or analysis paralysis) and completes a solo task designed to break through precisely that pattern.
No group exercises. No theory. Just the uncomfortable, yet strangely satisfying experience of creating something imperfect and noticing that it worked anyway.
Participant takeaways:
- a direct, personal experience of completing something imperfect - and seeing that it was usable anyway
- clarity on which perfectionism pattern most affects your own agile practice
- a ready-to-run card game you can take back and use with your team or in a coaching context
- a set of reflection prompts (keep/drop/try format) to apply the learning immediately
- language and framing to help others in your organisation recognise and name perfectionism as a systemic blocker, not a personal flaw
